The OZ Kids™ Fat Tire Crit and Fall Fest is BACK!

The OZ Kids™ Fat Tire Crit – a bike race for kids ages 2 -11, is back for its third year! This event is always a blast. This year, the race course will circle around Blake Street House in Downtown Bentonville! It’s going to be EPIC!

Balance Bike Ages 2-3
Balance Bike Ages 4-6
Pedal Bike Ages 3-4
Pedal Bike Ages 5-6, Girls
Pedal Bike Ages 5-6, Boys
Pedal Bike Ages 7-9, Girls
Pedal Bike Ages 7-9, Boys
Pedal Bike Ages 10-11, Girls
Pedal Bike Ages 10-11, Boys
Each racer will get a numbered race plate with a timing chip...because they are LEGIT...and a totally rad medal. The top three times in each category will stand on a podium and collect their prize!
But that’s not all…
Crafts, discovery play, KPMG book give-a-way, Buddy Pegs will bring added fun with the jump bag, DJ, MC Heather, Halloween decorations, hotdogs on the Arvest grill, Hershey candy, GoGo Squeez – basically all the fun you’ve come to expect from an OZ Kids™ event!
Festivities will be in the green space directly behind Blake Street House.
While the event is free, there is a fee for each race participant.
Registration is required for all racers. Space for the race is limited. Race fee is $20.

12:30 p.m. - On-site packet pick-up opens (next to Wrights BBQ - 208 NE 3rd St, Bentonville, AR 72712
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Festival space is open
2:30 p.m. - Races begin
2:30: Balance Ages 2-3 (one lap) -staging/ line up at 2:20
2:45: Balance Ages 4-6 (one lap) - staging/line up at 2:30
2:45: Pedal Ages 3-4 (one lap)- staging/line up at 2:30
3:00: Pedal Ages 5-6, Girls (two laps)-staging/ line up at 2:45
3:15: Pedal Ages 5-6, Boys (two laps)- staging/line up at 3:00
3:30: Pedal Ages 5-6, Boys (two laps)- staging/line up at 3:00*
3:45 p.m. - Podium awards for Ages 2-6
4:00 p.m. - Races continue
4:00: Pedal Ages 7-9, Girls (five minutes + one lap)- staging/ line up at 3:45
4:15: Pedal Ages 7-9, Boys (five minutes + one lap)-staging/ line up at 4:00
4:30: Pedal Ages 10-11, Girls (eight minutes + one lap)-staging/ line up at 4:15
4:30: Pedal Ages 10-11, Boys (eight minutes + one lap)-staging/ line up at 4:15
4:45 p.m. - Podium for ages 7-11
*We will split the 5/6-year-old boy group into two races. This will be done in staging and does not change their wrist band color or scheduled line up time.

Race Rules:
Helmets are mandatory
Must have flat handlebars (no road bikes)
Bar ends plugged (no holes in the end of the handlebars)
Knobby tires
Working brakes (excluding balance bike categories)
No BMX Pegs
Closed toed shoes are mandatory
Good sportsmanship
Hands on bars the entire race
We’re decking the space out with Halloween décor. Costumes are encouraged. We will have prizes for the top three costumes – you might not win the race but with the right costume, you could still get on the podium!
Organizers have full discretion to call out safety issues, so please keep that in mind when considering your racer’s costume design.

If your registration for a bike through Pedal It Forward was confirmed, bike pick up will be held at the Bentonville Public Library on Thursday, October 19, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
We strongly encourage those who can to ride their bikes to the event. Bike parking will be located in the green space near Trailhead Mews apartments (across the street from Wrights Barbecue). Public parking is marked on this map:
